R2C Group Receives Gold Medal at 2009 New York Festivals

R2C Group, the largest independently owned, response-driven advertising agency in the country, was awarded a Gold World Medal by the New York Festivals for a long-format infomercial production titled, "Girl Friends," for R2C Group client, Bare Escentuals.

The award-winning production, "Girl Friends," is a 28.5-minute long-format production, featuring Bare Escentuals’ core beauty and make-up product line, bareMinerals, along with Bare Escentuals CEO, Leslie Blodgett. The show, which R2C Group also managed the media campaign for, ranked as the #2 infomercial of the year, according to the 2008 Year-End List, issued by Infomercial Monitoring Service, Inc.

"The New York Festivals are an organization that I’ve long admired and respected. We couldn’t be more pleased to accept this award, along with our client, Bare Escentuals," explained R2C Group CEO Tim O’Leary. "This honor truly highlights the talent and experience of our team, and equally speaks to the caliber of our clients."

R2C Group is the only United States-based award winner and one of only two entries awarded medals for an infomercial. Notably, Discovery Networks’ critically acclaimed production titled, "Planet Earth" and CNN’s "Planet in Peril" series took home two of the four Grand Prize Awards.

The New York Festivals, now in its 51st year, is an International Awards Group, recognizing The World’s Best Work(TM) in advertising and programming, honoring advertising and marketing in global communications through eight annual competitions. One of these competitions, The New York Festivals’ International Television Programming and Promotion Awards, recognizes "The World’s Best Work" in news, documentary, information and entertainment programming as well as in music videos, infomercials, and promotion spots.
