This week, online credit service provider, Freescore.com, is debuting a new campaign, empowering consumers with new, innovative services to protect and monitor their credit. And no, there will be no singing pirates in restaurants or cheesy love songs to convey the message. Instead, Freescore.com is working with Direct Response Advertising experts, R2C Group, producing a witty, informative 60-second spot aiming to leverage the popularity and influence of longtime political, financial, and entertainment icon, Ben Stein.
Ben Stein – economist, lawyer, actor, former Presidential speechwriter, and pop culture icon, is the proud new spokesperson for FreeScore.com. Freescore.com’s new commercial opens with Stein sitting on a park bench reading a newspaper with the headline: "Americans in Financial Hole." With bankers chasing gophers in the background, hitting them on their heads whenever they pop-up from their gopher holes, Stein explains, "Think about it. If you’re buried up to your neck in debt, it can feel like creditors trying to whack you on the head."
